Drupal 7 in a Day

Get a solid introduction to Drupal in one day. Learn about the most essential features and concepts of Drupal through hands on activities. By the end of this day you will be familiar with Drupal terminology and be able to identify how many Drupal sites are constructed. You will know how to identify and choose modules to get the functionality you need. Because this class will be an overview and not an in-depth course, it is perfect for people who are on the fence about using Drupal or who are looking for a hands-on introduction.

Intro to Module Development

Learn how to leverage Drupal's APIs and to extend and customize the behavior of Drupal core or important contributes modules by writing your own custom modules.

This course assumes a working knowledge of PHP as well as Drupal site building and configuration.

You should bring your own laptop with a local Drupal 7 installation already in place.

Instructor: Ted Bowman of Six Mile Tech

Learn to use Views

131, Mac/PC Training Room

Learn how to use Views to create lists of content and control how content is displayed throughout your website using a point-and-click interface.

Views is a query builder, used to select, sort and display content in various ways. Whether you're building a list of blog posts or a complex events calendar, Views is an essential tool when building a Drupal website. In this training, you'll see how powerful Views is, and how you can extend it to create a custom user experience. If youʼre familiar with database administration, Views is going to seem very familiar. Itʼs an easy way to build fairly complex queries using a point-and-click tool.
